Jenn-Kan, Lu received the MS degree from University of Washington, School of Fishery in 1986 and his PhD degree from University of Maryland in 1996. He is Currently an Associate Professor of Aquaculture Biotechnology in the Department of Aquaculture of National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan. Research activities include aquaculture biotechnology, marine bioactive compounds and probiotics.

Dr. Chen Li-Li

Professor Li-Li Chen now is the Director of Institute of Marine Biology of National Taiwan Ocean University. Professor Chen’s major is microbiology and aquatic virology. Recently she focuses on the pathogenesis of shrimp white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) and grouper nervous necrosis virus (NNV), and tries to develop the anti-viral strategies.

Mr. Chen Chien-Chih_Manager, Sheng Quan Biotechnology Co. Ltd.

Graduated from National Tsing Hua University, the speaker is an expert in water treatment and has great insight in free radicals and environmental toxins. After many years of field tests, the speaker discovers the relations between free radicals and the diseases in aquacultures and the approaches to neutralize free radicals from the environment. The speaker also notices that neutralization of free radicals results in the removal of negative impacts to water quality and further protects aquatic animals.

Dr. Ma Yu-An Central Taiwan agricultural cooperative

Ph.D. Ma Yu-an, and his brother began to plant rice by sustainable agriculture in 2009. Then, they planted wheat and had contractual farming of wheat with other local farmers. The small mill they built not only provided local farmers with the pathway from wheat to flour but also the bakery with fresh local flour. With this experience, he received the honor of top 100 of the Taiwan young farmer in 2014. In 2016, the Central Taiwan Agricultural Cooperative (CTAC) comprised the senior farmer and the young people. As a chairman, he leads the team of CTAC to assist more than 230 farmers (more than 130 ha) in growing soybean by scientific methods and sustainable development model.
