Dr. Meng-De Guo

Meng-De Guo, who graduated from the Taiwan Provincial Agricultural College, after the oil crisis in 1962, the government was actively looking for alternative energy sources, and he turned to biogas research. In 1967, it developed a red mud biogas bag to replace the traditional iron sheet anaerobic fermentation tank, which was awarded by the Mingde Foundation; in 1973, it developed a large-scale construction of the covered anaerobic fermentation tank, which was widely adopted by the industry after its launch. So far, it is still the most commonly used anaerobic fermentation tank.
